Perceived control means the personal perception of competence in dealing with asthma and its exacerbation. The sessions, each taking about one hour, were conducted with three female asthma patients (one group), and were held four times. Patients answered the questionnaire before and after the program. Researchers made the content analysis of talks at the sessions and feeling for this program. As a result, it was found that through this program patients tended to feel that their aversion to the inhalational steroid was reduced, to progress with the perception of its effect, and to continue using it.
