The log data were used for the analysis of the process of working in cooperation with the hospitals to start patient advocacy activities with an emphasis on the negotiation process. Based on the content analysis, the following four categories were extracted. The stage of introduction, the stage of confirming reaction, the stage of confirming recognition, and the stage of confirming relation. The negotiation and consultation skills were divided into six categories. The two main roles identified were providing necessary information and supporting. It is concluded that it is necessary to develop and further enhance the patient advocacy system at the university setting, sharing various information between the university and hospitals.",
