This article pointed out that, Syouin Yoshida(吉田松陰)'s viewpoint on national prestige did not simply show that Japan was different from Chaina at that time period. More importantly, it emphasized how Japan could avoid making the same mistakes as Chaina's QingDynasty. In this respect, his article was of great realistic significance.
