The data were collected using semi-structured interviews with five nurses of health service facilities for elderly in Osaka. The results indicated that four categories, in the process of 'Requesting' to elderly with dementia, can be madeclear. Judgment of request; Contents of requesting, Means of request; and Effectiveness of request Sub-categories of Judgment of request were as follows: 1) Judgment of people, 2) judgment of choice of contents. Contents of request were categories: 1) housework, 2) taking care of other elderly peoples, 3) taking a leadership role. Means of request included: 1) direct requests, 2) indirect requests.
