Benzyl alcohol (500μl・l^<-1>), titanium tetrachloride (19mg・l^<-1>) and abietic acid (30mg・l^<-1>) also decreased the emission of methylbutyric acid to nearly half, while ethanol (500μl・l^<-1>) had no effect.
